Lesson 6: Imaging and design for an Online Environment

The lesson taught me many effective things in order for me to use image design and its advantage. I understood that the basic principles of graphics and layout are so simple and it is easy to use. It helped me also on how to create a creative Infographic using Macromedia Fireworks. I can now understand and use several file formats used on the web namely jpeg, GIF, Png etc. It also taught me on how to easily manipulate images using a Adobe Photoshop. The lesson taught me on how to use different functions in order to make the presentation more creative and effective. I know now the use of hyperlinks and its advantage to improve the slideshow. I can also Embed files and data to their slideshows like data in excel and word. Lastly, I can Maximize Slideshows as an effective visual aid tool. Truly the powerpoint is good for presentations. Lesson 4:Advanced Spreadsheet Skills

In this lesson 3 important things made me effective in terms of using Microsoft Excel. First is the familiarity of the most commonly used functions in Excel. The Functions are indeed helpful in different aspects of education etc. Second is that I can use several conditional functions available in Excel. And Lastly I can now use Excel as a viable tool in market research and product development.My product in this lesson is this

Lesson 3: Advanced Word Processing Skills

Advanced Word Processing Skills made me understand that with my own initiative I can create different media rich documents for printing or publishing. It nurtured my skills in effective use of the features in order to improve my expertise. It enabled me to know on how to create labels and envelops. It made me enlightened on how mail merge and label generation is done. I became familiar in the use of it.

Lesson 2: Rules of the Netiquette

   
In this lesson, it
made me aware that we
should consider other’s
safety and reputation when sharing information using the Internet. It informed that I should determine and avoid dangers in the Internet especially when socializing with others. It helped me also to browse the internet efficiently and properly through proper referencing namely Copyright Infringement. I also became responsible in the correct usage of the social networking sites. The lesson made me conscious in the what so called “Intellectual property.”

Lesson 1: Introduction to ICT

The lesson made me equipped with necessary knowledge that will enable me to be a competitive student of the 21^st century. It enlightened me that ICT affects my everyday life especially that our era is where modern Technologies are so much evident. I also learned that ICT has its own advantage and disadvantages that will affect our daily actions or doings. It helped me create a foundation of understanding of the world of ICT. I became aware of what are different trends in ICT and on how to use them to their advantages.
